I don't think you did. And don't get hung about age too much. Some 50 year old guys are more childish than the average teen ager. If you didn't mention your age I'd have had a hard time guessing it, and I wouldn't have worried too much about it anyway. What you have to say and how you say it is more important on a forum than how old you are.
If you are not allergic to words like "bluegrass" then you might check out
Hop, Skip and Wobble by Jerry Douglas, Edgar Meyer and Russ Barenberg. It's not THAT bluegrassy a record anyways. Barenberg is one of the name guitarists in so-called "newgrass" and a very fine acoustic player. Meyer is a classically trained bass player who also has an affinity for Americana - and is a monster. Douglas is one of the kings, some would say THE KING, of lap steel. I've heard him playing everything from Irish folk tunes to be-bop.
