mid lifer noob

Used to play (badly) years ago on an upside down right handed guitar (i am a lefty). A severe bike accident left me with loss of feeling in my fingers and stopped.

Fast forward 25 years

trawling gumtree came across an ad for a lefty Ibanez , a thing of majestical beauty( pity i am married) and bought it. Bought alan's book (got the hardcover edition at the bookshop that escapes me right now in 4 ways mall) and ended up here.

Funny thing is i still play badly even right (or is that left) way round. but plugging away.

leaning towards black sabbath and early metal but right now the learning curve is steep.

This sounds familiar - though my 25 years of abstinence had nothing to do with a bike accident.

The worst thing of all is that this wasn't planned. I was down to two and not unhappy, then that Larry came along at a really good price...
