Mild transparent overdrive

Hi there. I need suggestions for a mild/low-mid gain overdrive for a first stage of gain preferabily something "transparent" without the mid range "hump" present in so many other clones. So yea something with a bit of sparkle and a flat eq. I was thinking either Paul C Tim/Timmy but the waiting list is too long (May orders are being built now). So yea any suggestions?

Get yourself on the list for a Timmy and while you wait, get a Danelectro Transparent Overdrive, which is a Timmy clone.

Phoned Paul C today and ordered a Timmy pedal. Quite a nice guy. Oh and he said that the pedal should be ready by February.
Cost of the Timmy is $129 and the Tim $165 which are quite cheap for boutique pedals. The only problem is the 4 month wait hence the mad prices you will find on ebay.
Cant wait!!!

I really dont think you should get the Timmy pedal. It really isnt a great pedal NOT!!!
Yea its $129 but you only pay when its ready and if you order now it should be ready by Feb well thats what Paul said. And yea once its ready he emails or calls you. When I phoned yesterday he said that I was the first one from South Africa that ordered one so perhaps you can be the second. And you need to phone him, which is quite costly, because this guy dont read emails. The price is great coz I mean you're getting a boutique overdrive pedal. Only prob is the wait...

Saying that, i love my stock BD-2, and can not be beaten price wise, IF you buy in SA.

Do NOT overlook Rocktron's Austin Gold OD. (known to many, as the "poor man's" [read: clever man] Klon)

IMHO, the two ultimate OD's, come at a bit of a price, but deff worth looking into !

I used to have a mudhoney i stupidly sold it, I regret this now. amazing pedal but never found it to be very transparent, I thought it had quite a mid hump
