Ok, so some of you may have remembered a wile back I was talking of buhying a 72 fender twin, well I did buy it, and I beleive it is an amazing amp, so I am super happy I got it. Now so far it has given me ZERO issues, the amp light sometimes fails to come on but a knock gets it working. The tolex has some tears and the grill cloth a bit, howver the internals seem good and clean. When using my tele (slightly more bass heavy than my strat the amp vibrates a bit, sounds like aloose tube or tube socket whatever thingy.
OK so I am in jhb and I am considering if i should take it in for a service, howver if its giving me no issues should I? Do I need new capacitors? Valves? Get it blackfaced? Are there guys in jhb who do this? How long would it take? Should I get it retolexed?
I guesse I could use your thoughts. I am not technically savy AT ALL? I play the guitar, I know very little of there mechanical make up.
So yeh comments guys, reccommendations? Its my only amp so want it to be loved
