Cornford Amps

Hey guys!

On a recent "search-the-net-for-anything-Guthrie-Govan-related-due-to-his-overly-awesome-awesomeness" (haha), I found a few sound- and video clips of him playing Cornford amps, and these really were the nicest, least harsh-sounding amps I've ever heard (and nope, it's not just because he plays them! ?), so I thought I'd share them with you! ?

A tad expensive though, read on forums that the MK50H Guthrie mostly uses goes for $2550. But for that sound.... ?

Guthrie is endorsed by them and only uses them now... They are great sounding amps, no doubt about it.. But for the price, i'm not sure I'd buy one.. Guthrie obviously uses them because he's given free ones.. ?

Sure, he gets them free. He might even be paid for his endorsement. But a player of Govan's calibre could get a similar endorsement deal from any amp manufacturer (and probably get even better deals from the bigger manufacturers - Cornford are relatively small), so he's probably still using the amps he likes.

Sure thing Alan, however, they are still flippin expensive... haha.. So, personally, I wouldn't pay that for that amp. Maybe Guthrie would. ?

Hey, if someone offered me a conford for a couple thousand, i'd sell my leg for it, dont get me wrong.. But not both my arms.. ?

Cool looking amps, first time I have heard of them.. However I don't think they too expensive, they in the ball park of most "hand wired" boutique amps, they look top quality... I cant comment on sound, cause I have never heard one in the flesh. There reputation seems great.

This is the one I'm after, and at $2654.00 I think it's a bargain!!! ?

Now just to get one to SA........ :-\

I remember them "breaking cover" to the masses while I was still living in London. Very nice gear, but then at those prices most of them are.
