So the first song I learnt was 'Morning has broken'. On an old guitar that someone had sanded and varnished and sold to me for the handsome sum of R30! I just made myself learn the chords and made myself make them work with the melody - used my ear. I think we were far tougher in those days! There was such an incentive to learn folk guitar with the likes of Cat Stevens and Dylan etc around. Then my brother took pity and bought me a Yamaha which I still have! ?

Jip, us CPT guys/gals are very lucky when it comes to live music.
We have so many spots to hang out and in summer time most wine farms has live music on Sundays!

Not only are you lucky to have a lot of live venues but the musos on the coastline (Natal and Cape) are much more original, have more maturity in their music and are overall better.
