I dreamed last night of a guitar with 2 motherbuckers. both pups were made from one DiMarzio Humbucker and a Seymour Duncan single coil and it had a complicated tapping switch which allowed you to choose any one of the coils.

what has become of me? ???

Cool! I love music dreams. I've attended many a rockin' dream concert in the night garden but some highlights included being invited onstage by Jimi for a jam - and rockin' it out, as well as playing rhythm for Zep on one occasion and lead for another... I truly know what it is to play Madison Square Garden.

Mod-o-philia. It's a form of GAS. ? In extreme cases (me), you end up having guitars with 49 switch combinations or Magnetic, piezo and Hex pickups in one.

BTW - You'd be best served by a pair (or three) of Duncan P-Rails (P90, single-coil and humbucker in one). Not made anymore, but look up the DiMarzio Multibucker (a FastTrack and a Chopper in a humbucker casing) too.

It's all madness. I even thought the other day about buying some alternative humbuckers to the P-90s in my no.1 guitar. Then I'm like, "Shuddup fool! You got the best P-90s you could find, now you're thinking of swapping them out?"

The modding bug is a weird obsession. When it crosses into sleep you're thinking way too much about it ?

I used to routinely have (platonic) dreams about the Beatles for the same reason. For some weird reason I never saw all four of them together. There was always one missing.
