Fender Hot Noiseless pickups

Been reading mixed reviews regarding the Fender Hot Noiseless pickups. I tried out a Jeff Beck Strat as i was told they the same pups.

Very interesting. I really liked them. I play blues and rock, and i have always leaned towards TexMex and Texas Specials, but i think these will provide for more variety while still being able to get a bluesy sound.

Anyone got / played with these pickups? Looking for some opinions on them before i splurge R2100.

A lot better than the Vintage Noiseless. Not to everyone's taste, as they are still not an "authentic" single-coil tone, but if you've played a guitar with them and liked them, you should like them in your guitar.

I have one sitting on my desk still to be put into a guitar.
I'm still debating wether to put it in my Squier strat or the Mexican Strat? hmmmm?

I'm going to do a before and after recording to check the tone difference.

I think i may just do it. If i feel like changing out in the future, ill sell them after a while

Excellent pickups, IMO.

The Vintage Noiseless however do not compare to the Hot Noiseless.
Had a friend over last weekend, we plugged his Strat with Hot Noiseless into my Fandango, very impressive pups.
I have a set in my drawer, still boxed, definitely going to give them a shot in my Strat.

Check this thread out at the FDP, Bill Turner (B.T.) the inventor of the HN pickups explains how/why he designed and built them, he also explains how to remove the covers without destroying the pickups. ?

Lots of comments here, thanks man. And its fantastic that BT takes the time to explain and give feedback on the pickups. I think i am going to take the plunge and get me some.

I put vintage noiseless in my squier strat and I'm really loving them, they're really versatile. I think u have to play around alot with the pickup heights to find the sweet spot, cuz i've found that if they're a little too high they sound really harsh. I would really like to hear the hot noiseless pups in action.

Just an update, prob getting them from Take2- R1600

At that price, cant really go wrong cause you can sell them afterwards.

It's a very good price. I see the Custom Shop Fat '50s set is now also going for a little over R1700 at Take2...as are the '54s. Really not bad.

OK here goes, I just did a short recording of my Squier with the original pups. Going to do teh switch today and we'll see the difference.

Thats great.. sounds SO much better. The lower notes are much more defined, and there seems to be more quack too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your "before" clip is on middle pickup alone (position3), while your "after clip is bridge and middle (position2). Bit difficult to compare them...

But if you're happy with the change, all's well.
