Dont know if the title came out right, but heres my problem. A bit longwinded, so please bear with me.I use Cool Edit Pro 2 to record and its a great program. Simple and really user friendly for techo impaired players like me. It has the ability to record 30 + tracks that can be layered and mixed down to a single multi-layer track. For the life of me however I cant figure out how to be able to hear the previous tracks when recording a new one. It makes it nearly impossible to do the basic drums + bass + rythm + solo recordings that I want to get down. I can play the previous track through the laptop speakers but, then I cant hear the amplified guitars of the track I am busy recording. This is also not ideal because I only have time to play late at nights, so earphones are a must. I use my amp, through a uca202 interface into my laptop. Any ideas that can help me??

aah, the good old cool edit pro, i used to use it as well, back in the day.....
Looks for a monitor button or something on the track you are recording.
Cant remember most of the functions dough?
