I picked up a 1968 Fender Bassman yesterday!!!
It's gonna be my new no.1 amp on top of my 4x10 Jensen cab!!!

I'd Blackface it, 68' is still close enough to have usable transformers, the later 70's models used terrible transformers and it much harder to get it even close to a Blackface Era amp.
Another fun mod is to convert the BASS channel, which really does sound bad, for guitar AND bass to the Fender TWEED Bassman specs, so the BASS channel is voice for TWEED specs (mid control on the rear of the amp) and NORMAL remains the same, best of both worlds.
