The Bassman 10 is, as Gearhead pointed out, a Silverface era Amp, the B10 was built between 72'-82', they came in 2 models, a 50W and later a 75W driving a 4x10 loaded cabinet. The circuit in that amp is the Bassman 10 circuit (how original of CBS) and made during the CBS days... Fender's dark period... similar period to the Silverface Twin you looked at, they are desirable, but not collectible.
SRV played a '59 Bassman, which is the tail end of the Tweed Era, pre the Blackface, which later gave way to the Silverface era... surprisingly if you didn't know the Marshall JTM45 is a clone of the the said Tweed Bassman. SRV also had a bunch of Marshall's and couple Dumble's, so it is hard to say that it was just the Bassman he used.
Many Bluesplayers still enjoy the Blackface era Bassman's, the nicest circuit in that era is AA864, which gave way to the AB165, not a great circuit but the one in many of the Silverfaces and even the tail end of the Blackface era's and prob the most common.
I know Dan Patlansky uses a custom Dr. Z EZG-50, which is Mike's take on the Blackface Era Bassman: great amp, designer and player!
I'm hoping someone knows? possible to mod it? like add some vERb or sumin? please amp fundi's let me know if i found GOLD or fake GOLD
Yes and yes, you can convert most Silverface to Blackface specs, I still don't think they sound as good, mainly because by the Silverface/CBS era the parts they used were just not as good as the Blackface/Tweed era, but still make good amps... better than many producction amps today... the Bassman handles pedals well, has a great clean tone, but I find the break up quite bright on the Silverface era amps.
You can add verb, but it might be cheaper to add pedal in front of the amp as a tube verb is fairly costly, though Belton have a digital verb what will run off the heater wires I think...
Hope that helps!
