Hey Guys,
In another thread MIKA was asking about patch cables and I suggested he have them made, as many of you know I make my living out of doing this kind of thing and this weekend I was commissioned by Carl Wegelin, guitarist for jacSharp, Plush and Gang of Instrumentals to wire up his pedal board for him and part of that was spending time auditioning which pedals made the board, which didn't and then the order they should go in before I wired it all up.
The signal flow goes: Boss TU-2 Tuner, Boss OC-2 Octave Pedal, Dunlop Crybaby From Hell Wah Pedal, Electro-Harmonix Small Stone Phaser, Radial Trimode Valve Distortion Pedal, Electro-Harmonix Pulsar Vibrato/Tremelo, Eventide TimeFactor Delay, Electro-Harmonix Switch Blade A/B/Y.
The space between the OC-2 and Pulsar is waiting for a Fuzzsilla, he has one on order and I'm proud to have it grace his board. The space at the top left is for the wireless transmitter for his wireless rig.
On top of wiring the audio connectors I also worked on the electrics with him, the power supplies are under the board with a 230VAC IEC plug coming in from the top of the board to power everything... a single plug for the whole board... no more messy cable runs.
Although every pedal has velcro on them we have cable tied them all down to make it more rugged when using the board for fly dates... trust me when your gear is thrown around on a plane the pedal arrive on the other side worse the wear.
Cheers
Matt
