DonovanB What is the general opinion of the lace sensor pups? I want to upgrade my Squier and I am getting one Jeff Beck Noiseless and was thinking of the Lace sensors. this one?
DonovanB I did some reading and I'm not putting them in my guitar. I'd rather go for hot noiseless pups.
AlanRatcliffe They are OK, a kind of an interesting caricature of the Strat sound, but tend to get lost in a mix. You can do better. Hot noiseless are good - not as good as Kinmans, but very good anyway.
chris77 hey Donovan I,ve got a set thats hopefully somewhere over the pacific by now... Should be here in a week or so and then I'll post a sound clip. From what I gathered before buying, they're a medium level pu upgrade on par with some Seymour Duncan and D'imarzio pu's, but not quite as good as the Kinman, Lindsy Fralin or Bill Lawrence upgrades. Some hate them and others love them. I ordered one of the newer sets that promised something different, but still Strat-ish in character. Will it deliver? Who knows. Cant wait to find out though.
DonovanB thanks Chris, I'm sure a few of us are curious. I must also do some before and after for when I get that Jeff Beck in it. I'm thinking of chaning out the middle pup on my strat with it... any ideas?
