I thought this would be good beginning for classical guitar lovers.
Keira-WitherKay
hey great song........... that plays in the outro yes............while the credits run....
i love that trilogy of movies..... ...el mariachi............ then desparado then once upon a time in mexico ....... mr rodriguez is a fab director/producer and being mexican the music is awesome in all three, yet in the orginal el mariache he uses a lot of dire straits and santana if i recal ... i remember the 1st song in el mariachi as the lead character walks into a bar is dire straits is it 6 blade knife or something like that from their very 1st record..........
yeah and if you can watch el mariachi for the one line early in the movie where the 'mariachi" which is a pro /gypsy mexican guitarist asks the bar keeper for work and the bar keep says why would he want a guitarist when he has a whole orchestra .......... and the movie pans to a guy on an early synth with a cheesy drum machine sounding horrid ..... mmmm love the inside humour here's the clip . but the conversation showing the mariachi (guitarist) asking for work is not on it . but watch ..... it's so funny ...and excuse me keyboardists... but so true most of the time ...
yeah in desparado los lobos do the soundtrack and gypsy kings feature too.. and once upon in mexico has an awesome soundtrack all round........
oh and watch out for the cameo appearances in once upon a time in mexico or is it desparado..... i think ............of quinten tarrintino......... and the bar keeper is the guy from cheech and chong...
recently i watched all 3 back to back as a trilogy and it's amazing to see how the first el mariache was a low low almost film student movie ...and then the 2nd desparado was already world class standard and by the third "once upon a time in mexico" it was so slick and top class.... of course having the latino stars antonio bandareos and thelma hyack does fuel it a lot ...wow
here';s the song inthe intro to once upon a time in mexico ....also a beautiful piece.......... and watch in the background all the guitar luthiers building on the street............
but for any classical/world music/latino music fans a definite watch to just hear the sound track especially the last 2.....
oh btw i'm as passionate about movies as i am about guitar ......
peace and light

I have the soudtrack to Desperado. On it are a few tracks of one of my favorite bands ie. Tito & Tarantula. Take a listen to White Train if you can find it. Not on this soundtrack but on some other movies in similar style is a band Chingon.

Thank you both, i have listened white train and i am listening one of Keira's fantastic performances while writing this message. Very glad to be commented from you as i consider myself very amateur for guitar (since my job have not allowed me to stay in same place for a long time. Actually same job would almost bring me to there to Johannesburg for a golf resort project in the national park that my previous south african colleagues (we met in another project in Qatar ) are working in it. Thanks again,
Regards,

Wow this was one of my first biggest influences in my music ? Resonates in my soul like anything...
Particularly in Once Upon a time in Mexico, when he is teaching the kid to play <3 Gosh... Will have to learn to play some of it one day ?
