Breaking in the Loom

As posted under My Gear, I was lucky enough to get the Schecter Jeff Loomis signature guitar yesterday, "the Loom" as it's affectionately known. To break it in I thought I'd post the result of the night's messing around. Still getting the hang of this baby, it plays quite different from the Ibanez's I'm used to. But not as different as I'd feared, it's quite playable.

I finally got around to adding some drums to this little piece of noodling, I must say it sounds a lot better with some rhythmical context. I even managed to -almost- make it sound like me screwing up is some kind of intended syncopation. Not that any of this will fool all you pros on this board, it's not perfect by any means.

The drums are nothing special, just the standard stuff that comes with Cubase, and ineptly sequenced to boot har har. The guitar tone is POD Farm, the Bogner Uberschall model with pretty much everything on 10 except the bass and mids. Metal! I like that high presence crystal clear sound, I'm sure a lot of tube tone aficionados will hate it or find it scratchy or something.
