Guitar Rig Pro 4
Anyone used this software? Any good?
Cakewalk are offering a deal for Sonar 8.5 users: Guitar Rig Pro 4 for $99
I'd use it in the studio (not for live stuff)
Think it's worth the price?

$99 is half it's full price, so that'd already be worth it. ? I got GR 3 and as a newbie I'm happy with it. It gives me lots of amp choices to mess around with, and I use it to practice. Only recently tried using it with recording software to try record my practices.
For me it was worth the money. Just downloaded the version 4 upgrade, and so far all I can say is I like the way it looks. ?
Dunno if that helps you any - I'm sure guys with more experience with the software will soon chime in.

Yeah, it's good -especially in the studio. I'm getting my upgrade tonight too.

I've had it for a few days now, but unfortunately I only had time to use it three times since installing, due to a particularly busy week. I also went for the Sonar 8.5 upgrade that included GR4.
So far I'm really impressed. The sound quality seems better, and the presets are very good. The Brian May one is particulary good. Afraid that's about how far I got with the new version, hope to have more time this weekend when I'm not working.
But so far I can recommend version 4.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to go for it!
Busy downloading right now ?
