Hi all the experts,
I have what I hope is an easy question. But first of all, I must admit that although I have a guitar, I do not play... My son plays though and I am looking for a nice little practice amp for him. Now i know there are quite a number of small amps that allow you to feed backing music into the amp from whatever source. Is there an amp that will allow you to feed microphone in as well?
If not, how does one do microphone? Do I have to run that through a separate mixer / power amp combo to separate speakers?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
This is an issue that has come up before. A few questions
1. Is it an electric or Acoustic Guitar?
If it is acoustic then one can get a small Roland KC40 keyboard amp for the guitar. The amplifier includes a microphone input on channel 1.
If electric then there is no real option of adding a mic as the amplifier is tailored to optimize the tone of the guitar and therefore will not be suitable for voice as well.
2. Is this for practice only or will performances be done as well?
There are other options such as using a USB interface for a laptop and using software such as Guitar rig.
The audio can be played over a HiFi or similar. This option also allows one to record as well.
