I got news last night that my band The HiTones will be playing at the Bloemedal Blanc and Blue Festival on Saturday. One of the bands pulled out so we should be playing 15:45 - 16:45. Just before another great Blues band Canon (Wonder who they could be)
Im quite seriously nipping straws because the band has been going for about 3 months and some of our members are not stage worn yet. So at worst we may come off as a bunch of startled lemmings but if I can get my mojo working well who knows ? ☹ :?

Id Rather you were standing on stage in front of me with a big glass in your hand singing the blues of course. Maybe another time ?

Sorry to Riaan and Manfred the other guys who want to so badly want to be there but can't. We'll be thinking of you and cheer twice as loudly to support HiTones and Cannon. So I spent the rest of my afternoon at the tire shop to get tire's fixed.

Thanks to all the Mojo from all you guys The HiTones managed to pull off a fairly decent gig despite having follow the Dale Collings band featuring Richard Prior on guitar, who IMhO, as a guitarist, could eat me for breakfast.
On a sadder note this was my last performance with the HiTones. The singer, Tony, took all the bands money for himself and ducked. This is the third time in a row!!!. People beware of characters like these. They are bad news to musicians and venue owners alike. >☹
On a positive note, I now available to join or start a new band (I can also get an excellent drummer) - anyone interested ? :?
