  • Anyone know Bellini guitars?

I was going through a pawn shop today and saw one of these Bellini acoustic guitars. It looks pretty worn, but I think a good cleaning, new strings and some TLC and it could be a cool travelling guitar. The one I saw looks kinda like this

It's only R250 so if it's a total POS it's not a total train smash lol.

I found this description online
Bellini 6 string 1960's
Made in South Africa. I've included the Bellini because it was akin to the early Stellas insofar as it mirrored the suffering of the early African Americans with the suffering of those subject to apartheid in South Africa. This was the 'townships' guitar. It's also got a sticker saying the wood is 'guaranteed not to crack' !

I think I should go buy it tomorrow, maybe it will help for the GAS ?
Generally when people ask me about Bellini, I say: "Run away! Run away!". POS sums it up nicely. If that's what you want, then go for it... ?
Thanks for the info Alan, I'll steer well clear ?
Would make a nice decoration piece for a music room though. Put a light inside it

        ?
Don't knock it too hard guys - it was one of only a few acoustic guitars around in the 50's and 60's - many of us old toppies learned to play guitar on a Bellini.
