Epiphone Gibson

One of my X Work colleagues has got a Epiphone Gibson with this number on a plate behind the neck

unfortunately he cant send me picks and till Friday. Does anyone know what model this is? Ill post pictures when i get them. He want R2000 for this guitar and theres nothing wrong with it.

Not a bad deal if it's in good condition.

Depends on what model it is. Big difference in value between an Epi Les Paul and one of the cheap Epi bolt-on SGs (for instance).

If you plug that serial number in at http://www.guitardaterproject.org/ it comes up as a 1998 Epiphone made in Korea. Average rating for guitars from that factory is 7.6/10. No model comes up unfortunately.
