I ordered the 8.5 upgrade to Sonar that was released last week, and instead of ordering the hardcopy DVD's and spend 20 Euro's more, I opted for the download version. Mistake, as the download was almost 2GB and it wasn't long before I reached my ADSL cap - I was foolish enough not to check my cap or use a download assist program. Got a top up to my cap, tried again, no luck.
By then I e-mailed Cakewalk and asked them to change my order to the posted DVD as I had trouble downloading the huge file. I had already paid, but figured they could send me an online bill for the postage.
I did not get a reply to my e-mail by the weekend, and intended to mail them again tonight. When I got home this evening however, there was a DHL package in the kitchen, with a "no charge" sticker on it. Inside, the DVD version upgrade and a printed manual!
How about that!
