and hello pedal board. ok, not just yet but I'm getting there...

Need to make a pedal board and sort out the power issues (DD3 doesn't like my wall warts one bit...).

So far these have me covered. Suppressor/gate and compressor may be on the cards in the future.

Hmmm... Recently got the gfx5 and not too impressed with the presets. Will fiddle a bit if I have the time to get my own settings. How exactly do you decide what pedals to put on your board? Do you buy 10 and then use a few and interchange them to suit the sound your after or how does it work?

I got quite a few good sounds from my 505II but that was after many hours of fiddling and tweaking. Unfortunately I did notice that there was something missing from the quality of the sound. The 505II did give me an idea of what sort of effects I like and tend to use and bought pedals accordingly. This setup will change as I find specific models that are better suited to my style/sound.

Don't want to give anyone more GAS, but you might consider getting some of those super-short pedal board leads, is a bit neater and has less emc issues than wrapping the leads up between pedals.

Nice! There's just something about a nice pedalboard that can't be replaced by mouseclicks on a computer monitor... it's like a dashboard of a nice car. Even if the car of the future is completely computerised, automated and doesn't need one bit of input from the driver, it would be pretty sad if there are no dials and buttons on the dash anymore...

Lol! I'm swinging back the other way at the moment - after using nothing but two amps and one overdrive pedal for the last few months, I'm back writing patches in Guitar Rig the last few days. I just can't do the things I want with an amp setup. Haven't used any guitar synth for a while though.

In the space of about two months I have gone from selling my multi-effects pedal to buying stomp boxes, and then selling the stomp boxes and buying Guitar Rig! I hate to think what's next...

If you're anything like me, it will be Guitar Rig 4, due out in October, and a MIDI foot controller! Then you'll upgrade your PC, your monitors, etc....it never ends!

well spyke if you need an alluminium pedal case ... i have one which i'm selling just pm me....... it's the warrick rockcase one with the cool velcro that fits to back of pedals and so you can move em around with no prob...... and of course it's large enough that you can house a power supply in it and a stack of pedals......... pm me if you interested .... i'm selling it at half the retail price and it's not trashed..... a few scratch's but thats what flight cases are designed for.... heheheh

and selling it only cos i just sold off all my pedals heheheh since it seems i'm going acoustic fingerstyle purist and not touching anything electric heheheheh my recent GAS has turned from pedals to collecting condenser microphones to mic up percussion and guitars ect ........ it never ends heheheh just swop one addiction for another

but yeah if you interested let me know......... or anyone else for that case.....(no pun intended)
