tell me somebody,i would like to know what these guitars are like
do they have a nice acoustic sound and can you play rock music on them too
i would like to know what the difference is between ag 75 and the af 75 or if anybody
knows this guitars which one would be a good buy??

They're both good, but different. The AF series are full hollowbodies - there is no block running down the middle of the body. Kind of Like a Gibson ES-175. The bridge floats on the top, held down by string pressure. Much more resonant and more prone to feedback.
The AG is more like a Gibson ES-335 - it is a thinner, semihollow body and has a centreblock, which makes it less resonant, but more feedback resistent. The bridge is anchored in the centreblock.
Generally, (there are many exceptions), a full hollow is more a jazz guitar (don't tell the Nuge that though), while a shallow semi-hollow is more often used for blues and rock.

thanks
i read a review about these guitars and all of
them were good, although some of them mentioned the feedback problem.would this guitar be good for solos with distortion etc.
i'm going on leave end june and i think i'm going
to shop around and see where to get a good price on one of these.i mainly play church stuff
but our church is very alive especially with the youth and i think this guitar would do the trick
when this guitar is just played clean does it have a nice accoustic sound?

Well, feedback resistance was the whole reason the solidbody electric guitar was invented - any archtop is going to be more prone to feedback than a solidbody at volume or with distortion. They can be used for rock (Malcolm Young of AC/DC, Ted Nugent of Damn Yankees), but they are going to be harder to control.
As usual, I didn't plug in the Artcores I tried - I played them acoustically and liked the tone, feel and construction. For me that's enough, as pickups can always be changed (I expect to do it) - Ibanez pickups are usually decent, but not amazing (you can't ask for more at those prices, IMO). The AF I tried had a lot of jazz character - probably too much for rock, where you want a more focused sound, While the AG was just right - In fact, I considered getting it, but decided I didn't need another guitar.
I'd say if you really want an archtop, the AG would be the right choice. Otherwise, If you want something that youth will respond to and can do rock or jazz, a Les Paul would be a good choice.

I also "mainly play church stuff" and recently got an epiphone dot (ala ES-335; semi hollow).
I LOVE IT! i think my LP is feeling a bit rejected lately, although I do use it for the more rocky, heavier stuff.
all in all, I think a semi-hollowbody is a really good guitar for worship music.
never played the corts tho
by the way Alan, had the dot set up, it plays like a dream now, no problems! ;D

I tried out a dot when I was down in PE last month. I was very impressed at how versatile and easy to play it is.
I saw an Artcore at Cash Crusaders for R4K. I think it was the full hollowbody. Might be worth making an offer on.

If you are in the JHB Area give Cash Crusaders at The Glen a call. I'm sure they'll be negotiable on the price of the artcore they have.
