I'm not wild about the purple myself, though as you say it is very well done, and it does make a change from bluebursts and greenbursts. I quite like the blue that's on show there.

Every now and then, in a flght of fancy, I start hankering for an acoustic with a really nice piece of walnut on the back. Not just for the looks but also for the tone.
The thing about destroyallguitars is that most of what they exhibit has a very strong personality. Some folks will love them and some will reach for the barf bags. That's the way it is when strong aesthetic statements are made.
