I'm going to venture some more advice. This is just from my own experiance, so take it from where it comes. Music is a people buisiness, you're aiming to be an entertainer. On top of that, even if you have a good agent, you have to be a promoter and know a few things about finalising deals. And on top of that, if you're not signed wih a record label you have to make your own recordings. Then comes the practice, creativity and networking with other musicians.
Even if you have all this down you still have a life you want to lead. You have to have self motivation, because very few people are likely to believe in you untill you've no need for them to anymore. And you have to make realistic goals, or you might as well not make them.
Then your success also relies rather heavily on the people you know. So go out, meet people that you want to play with (preferably successfull ones). And keep your health and wellbeing a priority. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water, stability is a tool to get you where you want.
