guitar1234 is it worth buying a guitar kit in pieces because i was looking at a saga les paul kit for $260 american and thought it would be a awsome cause of the cool things you could do to customise it. it includes all the things needed like pickups and strings. But on the bottom line is it worth it?
AlanRatcliffe Not to my mind unless you really want to assemble your own guitar. Otherwise it's cheaper (or about the same price) to buy a Cort or similar locally and mod it up to your spec. The quality of the Saga kits is kind of "entry level".
guitar1234 what about the guitar fetish flying v kits they come with a floyd rose locking bridge and nut and are shaped like a jackson randy rhodes and are really cheap compared to saga kits? What do u reackon?
AlanRatcliffe Hmmm. $250 by the time you've added shipping. Add VAT courtesy of the taxman and don't forget a couple of cans of paint and some sandpaper. So, while it's still a good price, it's not as cheap as it first looks. You should end up with a V-shaped electric guitar for under R2,500 though. Electronics and hardware are so-so, but do the job. Your decision as to whether it's worth it or not...
guitar1234 what is r2,500 in australian dollars because i live in australia and dont know youre currency american dollars is also good
CDee It's currently at R6,47 to the Australian Dollar. Have a look here. http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html
