Yes that freaks me out aswell!! Don't know how people can sleep at night after doing something like that!!

Lots of people around that have no problem doing stuff like that, and even worse, for a buck.

Unfortunately there are also a lot of people who wouldn't know the difference between the real deal and a fake, possibly myself included. However, I'd be very cautious in cases where something sounds to good to be true.

I mentioned in a previous post, the Bazaar of china advertises on gumtree and they sell fake Fender, Gibson ect for less than half the price. It's a crying shame!

The best thing you can do when you see those ads is report them. You might not fall for them yourself, but if you get the ad removed, you might save someone else from making a mistake.

I've been doing that but lately it seems that Gumtree JHB are a bit slack in removing these ads. Takes them 3-4 days to remove... ???

Yeah they can be, but if they get too many complaints about one member they ban them and sometimes even set up IP filters to stop them registering under different aliases.

IP Filters hardly work in my opinion, these days so many people are going through proxies and the like its purdy difficult to track a dude down. But ya, report the buggers!
