FAN Noise From Marshall Mg100DFX

Hi guys. thanks for the feed back regarding the noise from my amp. last night i took it apart, as Alan suspected, el chepo fan, but what i did was peel the sticker off the back of the fan and fill it with electrical white grease. and worked it in a bit. also where it screws onto the heat sink i put a few blobs if the trusty pratlys steel. and refitted it, Perfect. all you get is a slight fan hum nowhere near the strangled duck noise. also if you are testing the fan out side the housing be sure not to touch the heat sink to the case . sparks will fly. otherwise i am stoked nice amp, great price. . 8)

I got it for R1500. it is almost brand new barr the fan noise, but that i have fixed.

I had a MG100 till lately, it also made a epic weird fan noise. but i just turned it off and back and on fixed, but god was it irritating ! Great amp though ! I still got the foot switch if anyone is interested !
