hey guys here my modded tele , hope all u fender heads don't get upset here but i think he is an awsome frankenstein that sounds and plays fantastic. i have been very experimental with him and crossed some boundaries where by some home improvements were added like for instance the bridge plate was made by my friend out of Stainless Steel at his engineering shop.

the pickup in him at the moment is from my PRS and is a Dragon II (which was replaced with a tremonti) it has the coil tapper push pull tone knob to change to single coil if needed, i am just waiting on the Seymour Duncan P Rails to arrive so i can replace the scratch plate to the dark perloid and slot that into the neck, there is already a 3 way toggle switch for the prails installed between the tone and volume knob for the 3 P-Rail modes. the frets have just been Scalloped and i think its the best new addition to him ( i had some free time on my hands so i decided thats what i'll do to keep me busy). He plays really well with the scallops and bending is so radical, he has about a 1mm scalop.

i like the whole beatup look on him and i have gotten some really cool comment from ppl who have seen him for real.

i only had a real bad camera on me for now but will post quality pics once the P-Rails is in which is next week.

How does the scalloped fretboard feel compared to a normal one. It looks a bit scary.
I know Malmsteen uses the scalloped fretboard, does it make you faster? ?

it says downonthefirst which is the name of my band, i put it on there so if we play a show they remember the name.

no nothing makes you faster other than practicing, it just makes notes a little easier to play and helps alot with bending notes as there is no more friction between your finger and teh fret board, i also find that my notes from the 17'th fret up are a little better sounding as before i would hit some dead notes there when playing fast, thats not the case anymore. u don't have to push down on the strings as hard as before and u can add an extra tiny bit of oomph to your bends by pushing hard on the string.
