He's got that lovely, wirey Strat sound. I'm a sucker for that. Knopfler had it too early on. Richard Thompson still has it. Buddy Holly had it. It's the foundation of the Hendrix sound really.
I first heard of him was in the 80's , I think "Strong Persuader", there was a catchy little pop song "Right next door" which was about some guy who ruins people's marriages!
There was a big-ish hit off that album. Had the word "gun" in the title. Unusually the song was about Cray's woman cheating on him.
Are there any live recordings. The albums I have heard had too much studio gloss on them, I'd have liked something a little less squeaky clean.
