CDee I just saw this on take2.co.za. They have a Musical Instruments section under their "Amazon USA" section. Not sure how it works but they have a huge variety of stuff from Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, PRS to Graph Tech etc... Not sure what will happen to the import cost etc. Would be nice to find out. Check it out. http://more.take2.co.za/usa?deptname=MusicalInstruments ?
CDee I just bought some strings and t-shirts. R104 for Gretsch t-shirt and. R180 for Elixir nanoweb lights... (couldn't resist the GAS :-[)
Squonk @ CDEE Now that you will wearing the T Shirt, are you going to acquire a Gretsch Guitar as well? ? You can get me one of those Brian Setzer models!
CDee Yip I'm gassing for a Gretsch, but I've been checking prices and will have to save up a bit more first... But soon Squonk, soon... ?
Explorerlover Karma for CDee.....finally proper plans to build an Explorer without having to worry that I'll get it ?
[deleted] Cool, I did see the prices of the Gibbos tho!! ? R98000, R350000.. Dam thats a lot of money to have tied up in one guitar!!! I love the Gretsch guitars. I played a decent Silver Jet a few weeks back. I want a Thunderbird :'( I just want one because... EDIT// Errrrrr. Need. I need one ?

Yip, check this one http://more.take2.co.za/moreusa-gibson-custom-jeff-beck-1954-les-paul-oxblood-aged-signed-electric-b001rueiza.html But then you get these http://more.take2.co.za/moreusa-gibson-les-paul-studio-electric-guitar-faded-brown-mahogany-chrome-b000pflkay.html and at R13k it's not that bad... :-\
RobK I don't know much about guitar pricing, but if their pricing (take2) isn't much lower than what you can get in a local music shop, then is it really worth ordering from them?
CDee RobK wrote I don't know much about guitar pricing, but if their pricing (take2) isn't much lower than what you can get in a local music shop, then is it really worth ordering from them? The reason I posted this was because I actually found stuff that I can't find in SA stores. So if they can make the ordering from the USA thing easier and more comfortable then I'll be a happy camper. ?
Riaan I had a quick look at how much a Godin A12 would cost if bought through them, and it looks like their prices are really good. Works out a couple of hundred rand more expensive, but probably well worth it considering the risk of theft, damage etc. if you import on your own. This may well be the answer to my GAS!
CDee @ Riaan - I was very excited this morning when I found this... But after trolling the site and seeing all these things GAS is hitting me big time. ☹

Bob-Dubery With shipping you'll probably be paying pretty much what you'd pay in a local store. The only bonus here is that you can order some items not available in SA. The downside is there's no trying before buying. Good real world shops provide much more than "you give me Z dollars and I'll put X guitar in the post."
Neps My GAS list just grew.. http://more.take2.co.za/moreusa-lre22cory-corey-miller-signature-4-piece-shell-set-b001jj8wh4.html Yes.. its drums.. yes, i know this is GFSA, but man, I love pretty drums!!
