Hey guys
So I bought some flatwounds for my semi hollow at Toms last weekend, just stuck em on. Played for ten min in E#, then went back to standard, but the wound G string is buzzing like a MONSTER. None of the other strings, only that one..
Ideas? Solutions? Tune-o-matic bridge so it's a tough one.

What was the gauge you were playing before and what gauge are the flatwounds?
Maybe, if there's a problem with the string, you can hear this in the intonation?

10-52 before now 11-50.. Hmmm will check.. Don't think there is though.

Were you using a wound G before? If not, then check the nut and the saddle (if it's all the notes, then the saddle first, if it's the open note, then the nut). Otherwise if they are fine, it's likely a dud string. It happens...

☹ It's only fretted... No I wasn't using one before.

Check the point the string leaves the saddle. On a TOM, the saddles are usually grooved, so make sure the groove is wide enough and that the string is seating properly. Otherwise try another string (you may have to ask the shop for another set - flats are difficult to find loose).
