The guitar forum site lagging

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this at the moment or am I doing something wrong! For the last 3 days - and I joined about 5 days ago the site is incredibly slow to open and changing between pages also slow. Any suggestions?

Where do you live, and if you have an ADSL line with Telkom, man it's frustrating. >☹ We are on and off and slow and fast, and everything in between......I'm in JHB.
The last few weeks the line has been..........oooookkkkk! ☹

I've been having problems lately too, but it seems to be my connection more than the site itself (wireless via IS). Keep an eye on it and let us know if the problem keeps on showing up.

I thought i was the only one? anyway could not connect to GFSA this weekend and a few other random days , but got in just now, all my other websites runs smoothly .
I am using ADSL.

Yea - I've had problems as well over the last few days.
Observation: It seems to be okay when there are only a few people on the site and slows down when the numbers increase - could be an illusion though.

The IS connection from JHB is really bad with uptime to GFSA of 85.52% for the past week. The average delay to the site is about 5003.58 milliseconds.

IS-CPT uptime: 98.71% at avg 1276 milliseconds response time.

MWEB-CPT uptime: 98.81% at avg 1072.12 milliseconds response time.
MWEB-JHB uptime: 98.76% at avg 1040.92 milliseconds response time.

Telkom-CPT uptime: 100% at avg 963.99 milliseconds response time.
Telkom-JHB uptime: 99.50% a avg t 884.84 milliseconds response time.

I encounter this occasionally, but I haven't in the time frame that you outline here.

It's not necessarily a GFSA problem. GFSA in turn links to other domains for banner ads, if one of those is running slow or there's a bad connection between your PC and that domain then it can look like GFSA is running slow.

Often when I find things getting slow the browser tells me that it is waiting on adgator.co.za.

I'm in Cape Town - ADSL - it lagged for 3 days - then today it was fine and I don't experience this anywhere - I'm on a laptop and wireless and worry sometimes that someone is tapping into my megs or something - file sharing - I don't know if this is possible and then why only at this site? Mystery.

I've never experienced these issues on iBurst so I'm assuming it's network-specific. However I AM watching these threads and I do take them seriously. Just so you all know that I'm not ignoring this ?
