Track 2 of my Metal album

About two months ago I uploaded the introduction to the metalcore alum I'm working on, I said I would upload the next track once it was finished. So after a lot of fun and hard work, here it is ?

Have a listen and tell me what you think (recording hints, tips, tricks and constructive criticism appreciated). At 2:13 minutes long, it's the longest peice I've managed to date.

I used gearbox for the guitars and beatcraft for the drums (I know the drum samples aren't the greatest, but I can't afford EZDrummer ☹)

well I wouldnt be able to give constructive criticism but I think its good. Sounds pretty solid to me. Drums aren't too bad hey

It`s a shame ur in Durban.....darn!!!!Awesome track, i don`t want to know how long the drums must have taken u.... ☹ the only thing, more leads would have been awesome but other than that sweet.

The drums were a bit of a rash, especially at the breakdown cos the tempo went from 180 to 160bpm and then back up again and beatcraft doesn't allow you to change tempo so I had to stick some of the beats together manually.

My next track is gonna have more of a death metal edge to it ? it's meant to have some arpeggio sweeps in the beginning and I'm still working on a solo for it so it won't be as hardcore as this track and will have more leads ?

? ya i used beatcraft for a while aswell - know ur pain. Can`t wait to hear the new track.

I dig the dual lead throughout. I can hear a bit of KSE in your riffs, especially the "stop start " riffs, I cant think of any way else to describe it.

Thanks ? well KSE is the sort of father of metalcore, especially their earlier stuff which I draw a lot of influence from. I dunno if they started that type of riff, but they definitely made it popular amongst other metalcore bands.
