I spoke to a good friend who doesnt play much anymore. He has a zoom gfx 5 that he might be coaxed into parting with. From what I can remember it is a mighty fine piece of gear, but memory can be a bitch sometimes. So does anyone here have any opinion on them? Bear in mind that I'm a parttime enthusiast and not a gigging muso, so it doesnt need to be the best - only adequate for my needs. Also how much do reckon I should offer him? I'm not looking to score a cheapie at his expense and would like to offer him a fair deal. Any thoughts?

I have a zoom gfx 3
works pretty well for me
Solid metal pedal
Took some time getting used to the controls but once i got the hang of it was ok
i would say go for it
PS i paid 1K for mine, 2nd hand and keep in mind the zoom gfx 3 is a bit older

Thanks Gove. Saw a gfx 8 going for R2500 on Gumtree, and with your Gfx 3 costing 1k a while ago, I went halfway and offered 1700 and he said yes. Thanks for the input! Now to sort out the logistics of getting it from one plattelandse dorpie to another....
