I went. Mostly because I heard Reini Abelbert was something a bit special. I didn't stay until the end.
Reini Adelbert was indeed worth seeing. His sound, from both guitars he had on stage (a Taylor and, I'm guessing, a Santa Cruz) was mighty. Punchy, rich, lots of balls. A good player too, and interesting songs to boot.
I was also impressed by John van Nierop's playing (and I'm not saying this just because I have a lesson with him on Saturday). He got roped into backing up several performers, and added great fills and textures.
Finally there was the guy who had an interesting piece of kit that made a Martin D-28 sound like a banjo. How do they do that?
