Jaguar with a mustang bridge?

Helo there...

Does anyone have any experience with a jaguar,in wich case the bridge hase been swoped for a mustang bridge?
And what are your opinions,would u recomend it? Pros and cons?

I know of replacing either bridge for a Gibson Tune-O-Matic, which is a common mod on both guitars, but have not heard of replacing a Mustang for a Jag bridge (although they are AFAIK the same). I double-checked with Gareth at Marshall's Cape Town, who is a big fan of the offset Fenders and he said there would be no point in doing it as he also believes they are basically the same if not identical bridges.

Sorry man,i meant,i wana swop the bridge on my jag for a mustang bridge...the problim is that the bridge buzzes...ALOT!
And iv read that the grub screws tend to fall out...

Swoping the jag bridge with a mustang one is supouse to be the solution to bouth these problims...

So i just wanted to talk to sumone who hase sum firsthand experience and knows if al this is true...

OK. Did a quick bit of research and while the two bridges look nearly identical, they are slightly different.

And yes, a lot of guys seem to swap the Jag (and the Jazzmaster) bridges for the Mustang ones, and it apparently cures the problems you mentioned. I also know a guy (himself a luthier) who likes using the Graph Tech Tusq Mustang saddles on all of them: Jags, Jazzmasters and Stangs (he has quite a few of all three and also the offset Fender VI bass).

But, I've never done it myself....
