Zim-Dollar
Hey wasup guys? The name is Zim Dollar and I have efectively been playing for about 5 years now and still not that good.
Even though I play my Ibanex GRG270 and have been going mad over the 7 stringed guitars from BMU, I'm finding that acoustic guitars actually are more preferred. Anyone can make an electric guitar with heavy distortion and a good amp sound good. But play the same riff on an acoustic and it's not quite the same. I have a Santa Fe acoustic and I find that it's amazing (sad that there are no specs for it other than it's a flat-back).
My inspirations range from John Petrucci, Kirk Hammet, Kim Thayil to a very low-key artist called Travis Meeks of Days of the New. I do prefer my grunge sound, so sorry to all the metal heads out there. I like it dirty ]?

Welcome in. I've also been fancying a 7-string lately. There is a demo vid on Youtube of Steve Vai and his signature Distortion pedal where he uses his JEM 7 string. Very lekker guitar. cool pedal too.
