Slotted machine heads - so pull the string through from the back and pull it up towards the headstock.
Cut the string about where it passes the next tuner so you have about an inch extra length. You may want to cut it longer your first time stringing a set of slotted tuners, or until you get the hang of it, especially on B and high E strings, which slip out easier.
Poke the end of the string into the top hole on the tuner, as far down as it will go, then bend it down in the slot so it exits the sides. Wind the excess on - should be maximum two winds (probably less). Unlike a "normal" tuner, you don't wrap the first winding above where the string exits the post, but rather wind everything below.
Hope that's all clear.
The angle where the string leaves the slot and starts wrapping around the post actually does a good job of "locking" the strings in place - wonderful tuners. Simple and effective.
