Roland cube 100 amp

G'day Guys

Back in the 90's I bought a Roland Cube 100 amp from a shady character who later became a Buddist Monk.

I have used it thinking that it's a guitar amp. Now, searching the 'net it appears that this little fella is actually a bass guitar amp.

LOL

This amp has a light yellow colour exterior finish and who knows the vintage.

Can anybuddy tell me WTH I have here?

Doesn't it have the plate with BASS on the bottom right of the grille? Or say Cube 100 Bass on the control panel?

No bass ref. plates, but after some heavy duty googling I found this:

I have vague memories of an old Cube series, but have to be honest and say I don't know them at all. Roland's older solid-state stuff has always been well regarded for it's clean tones though (look at the JC-120 - introduced in 1975 and still in production today).

Looks exactly like your second example,

Very Interesting. I wonder why Roland stopped making these. You would think a 100W combo like this could be a real contender in the compact gig-worthy combo market!
