aja Have you ever used the Tonerider SuperLush Chorus? What did you think? I have been messing around with one. I am impressed! very smooth and doesn't lose so much tone. Although it only gives you one type of chorus, it does it pretty well!
Mr-M I was thinking of getting one of these. You mind if I ask a few questions, since you have one? - When maxing the rate control, does the chorus get very fast and wobbly sounding (like a rotating speaker type effect)? - How big is the pedal? I've read it's a bit bigger than an MXR sized pedal. This true? - Is there any volume loss when you turn the pedal on and does it introduce any noise into the signal? Thanks!
aja Well I am inexperienced with pedals but I will try hehe 1 - Yip! It gets all spooky sounding, ghost like at max rate. Like a rotating speaker but wobbly like you say. Not sure if a different guitar would sound different though. 2 - It is pretty small: 120mm long, 65mm wide, 55mm bottom to top of switch. 3 - Not that I can tell. I think you would have to see how your amp handles it. No noise that I can hear - again, not sure how your amp or single coils would do on it, only have humbuckers to test it with, muddy ones at that. What area are you in? How much do these go for nowadays?
Mr-M Thanks for the help! Inexperienced or not you gave me what I needed so I might get one with my next order of pickups. Was going to buy a set of Tonerider Pickups from a UK store and I thought I might take a chance and add one of these to the order. It goes for 60 Pounds, so around R750 excluding shipping. Just gotta summon the funds for the order, 'cos right now I'm broke, but I'm still looking at buying gear. Us guitarists are pretty crazy... I'm in the South of JHB.
