Hi all,

Have you ever heard of Genz Benz?
I might sound like a nut, but have never heard of this amp until today.

I read good reviews on the net about it, but wondered if one of you have some experience with this 100w tube head?

In June edition of Guitarist Genz Benz features as one of the top 40 products at some Frankfurt music expo. In fact it is their acoustic amp range. Very brief review but looks good. Dunno where to find them in SA though.

I've seen Genz Benz Bass amps at Marshall in Woodmead. Try them.

Dude, they're EXCELLENT amps.. Really quality stuff!!! You won't be disappointed if you go for it.. I cannot believe you haven't heard of them.. Have you heard of "Diezel amps"? If not, PLEASE google them.. They are quality, as are Genz...

Have you ever had the most amazing opportunity to play a Diezel?? It's like ecstasy... it really is..

These are probably THE best amps I've ever heard.. Really these are amazing.. They are botiques and are worth everything they sell for.. haha, sorry to digress the topic! Just had to share!

I've heard of Genz Benz, apparently excellent amps.
Fuchs, yep, used by Al de Meola, who is also a PRS endorsee. Check out the "Al de Meola signature PRS"......

i saw the el diablo a while back in bothners, not sure on the quality tho, i never played on it. I heard its EXTREMELY loud tho...

BUt inflames...peavey 6505+ you dont need to even bother about anything else ?

Fuchs will blow the peavey 6505+ out the water like you cannot believe.. It'll be the different between mortals and gods... ? haha..

Shane Gibson, now the lead guitarist of Korn (wasn't back when I use to chat to him), is also endorsed by fuchs.. They truly are beauts! ?

No that is a BOLD statement, unless you have owned both amps. Secondly i think its upto the individual as to what amp is "the beter one" otherwise everyone on the world would be playing the exact same amp if there was 1 "best amp"

personally never heard of Fuchs, i own the 6505+ and for metal i personally think it does the job 100%. I also know of 1 or 2 other heads that i like just as much.

I agree with Shadow1, what gear you get is for what sound/tone you wanna achieve, not get gear because it sounds great for Peter, Paul and Mary!!!!
I love the tone of the Gibson ES335 as played by Larry Carlton and others, but will never get one because that's not the style I play.........

I played that exact amp and compared it to the H&K Switchblade 100Watt head ... I preferred the Genz ... awesome awesome amp ... loads of little switches and things that really adds a lot of options ... If I remember correctly, there is a even built in compressor that really does a lot to help with shaping the signal. I'm very sad I didn't buy that amp ☹

Ok, I apologize.. I didn't mean to offend or upset anyone. I was just saying that the Fuchs is an amazing amp. I have played a 6505+ and it doesn't match up, but again, that is my opinion. Everytime I've been into Music Connection (JHB) they have had a second hand Genz Benz El Diablo for sale.. if you really want one maybe check with them and get the price?
