All I can say is, WOW!!!
What a great store, what a great position right in the middle of the heart of Sandton.
Give it a visit, it's fantastic.

Where exactly is it? In Sandton city or elsewhere?
TomCat
It's opposite the Alexander Forbes building on the bend of Katherine drive. Used to be VW Sandton.

If you're on Rivonia Rd, turn into Katherine and it's on your right, you can't miss it.
If you're coming up Katherine from the highway, just before Katherine meets Rivonia Rd. on your left, on the curve.
The signage looks very cool at night, huge lit signs across the entire store.
The entrance is on ground level, but there's a large drum/percussion section downstairs as well.
Lot's of easy parking.
I wish them all the best.

Hey Keira
Turn left off Grayston and go all the way up the hill till Katherine curves to the right. Keep in the left lane before the curve and you will see the signs on your left.

thanks Tom

I spend quite a lot of time (and money) at Toms, Braamfontein.......but what really irritates me no end is the fact that their website is out of date and does not even mention the opening of their new mega store, even thought i did get an invitation (via sms) to the "sneak preview" which was rather nice!!
BTW. have'nt had time to visit the new store yet......looking forward to seeing it!
Dirk
Can't wait to see it. It'll have to go a long way to compete with Music connection though, that store is just insane

I had occasion to spend a few hours in JHB recently and visited the TOMS Sandton store. Never seen so many Ibanez Prestige in one place, including Music Connection. Walking away was... difficult. ?
Don't get me wrong, I love Music Connection as well, they have a wider variety of guitar brands, but not nearly as many high quality Ibbys. Between those two I'd say guitar buyer's choice has never been better in JHB. Cudos to both.

That does it, I need to take a trip to the new TOMS ?

I was at the new shop about a month ago.
I agree, what an awesome shop (especially if your an Ibanez fanatic like me). Think I'm going back there on Saturday.

Also popped in a couple of days ago... I would NOT recommend Mika visit, there's sure to be an eye gouging incident. Very well stocked, VERY quiet - the receptionist was quite literally asleep when we came in. For all the stock there was nary an axe that really caught my eye or ear (the Italia's were as fun as always) - but I will check in again...

First time i have had the chance to go ...WOW ..excellent pricing as well.

Heard they are opening one in Bloem as well. Cant wait to go check it out... and hopefully play something other than an Ibanez, cort, washburn or squier through an amp other than a Marshall mg, behringer, line6 or crate.
