song for review for alt rock band.

hey there guys i play in a band called downonthefirst and we are currently in our preproduction stages for our full length album..... we have 2 tracks recorded of which one will be used for the album. it was actuall recorded in feb but we are looking for some feedback on what you guys think. this is the track to go on the album. the other will be rerecorded cause the recording quality is bad. we have laid down most of our guitar rough tracks and plan to get the drum pre's done next week..... i'll post up once our preproduction tracks are done and will really like your help on the production as we do the album for you all aswell as ourselves and would love to get everyone we can involved.

pls note that this is still unmastered and its just a sneak peak of what can be expected from our album, although this is our lightest track the others are heavier and directed for the alt rock/hard rock genre.

I really like this song... top drawer stuff. I love how it builds up to the interlude. The only thing I think needs some work is the electric guitar, somehow it needs to be more present. Awesome song. I'd love to hear your other stuff.

Really good song. Production sounds very good at this early stage.

This style of music will be very accessable to the average listener which means
if the other tracks fall in the same criteria this album will be received really well in S.A.

With touring and the right marketing, you could go far

That's a helluva lot better than some of the local stuff played on the local radio stations........ I also think the song lends itself to a really awesome solo......other than that, excellent!!!

Awesome, good luck with the production. It's good that you guys are planning to be diverse, an album with just heavy music can get a bit much.

thx man, we are hoping to have the album done by the end of the year, we are gonna take our time with the preproducion cause we wanna release something thats awsome, and cause its probably the most NB step.

Very nice sound quality. Nice structure and flow. Definitely sounds better than 90% of the stuff on the radio.
The song has a very Pearl Jam like qulaity in that the lyrics are quite dark but it doesn't drag the rest of the music into a deep dark spiral.

Really good at the pre production stage.......Careful you don't over produce the final result.
