Ibanez RG370?

Hi all

I have a chance to get a Japanese Ibanez RG370 without pickups in exchange for a couple of parts.

I don't want/need this guitar, but know the guy and he can really make use of the parts I have and I'd like to help him out. So I'd probably want to just turn it around for cash quickly.

So anyone have any idea how desirable this is, and what it's worth?

Ive got a Japanese RG570 that I love to bits

I presume the Ibanez RG guitars were made in Japan upto a certain stage where they switched over
to making them in Korea ( thats what Ive heard, dunno how true this is)

Does this particular RG370 have the Floyd Rose Tremelo?

sort out the the neck and the bridge
whack some Dimarzio's in and wham , you got a nice instument ?

Uhh to answer your question :

Yesterday's Gold (Lee Gold 2nd hand shop) sometimes have these types
(Jackson performers, Washburn, Ibanez RG's)

Average Condition with stock p'ups anywhere from R1200 - R2000

Good condition with some brand new Seymour's or Dimarzio's p/ups -

Yeah. At one point ALL IBZ's were MIJ. Then to keep prices down, they swapped over to Cort's factory in Korea. Quality is better.

AFAIK, yes. 24 fret, basswood body, wizard neck, H-S-H pickup config. I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know more. I've asked for a pic so I can get features and colour, etc. from that.

If I can immediately sell it again as is for R1000, I've got what I would get from selling the parts I'm swapping for it. I can get a set of EMG89s from the same guy for another R1K and then wire it up as an HH with a 5-way, but that could make it harder to sell at R2K.
