Shootout between a Gibson ES335, Epiphone Dot and an Ibanez AS103 the Ibanez won in all categories!
That inspired me to go buy one! And I've never regretted it! Delicious tone!!!
Looks to die for, And a rather fast neck! Flame Maple, top, back and sides!
And this, at a fraction of the price of the ES335!
LP's are for rockers that use pedals to CHANGE the natural sound of the Gibby.
Why not rather buy a cheapie with a reasonable feel to it, and play through the same pedals?
You'll probably get the same sound! I'm afraid Gibson has become an elitist thing, that's all!
That's why I like Strats and Teles they have an unmistaken distinctive, beautiful, clean sound which is recognizable
over the radio! Which can't be said for the Gibby! Gibsons are overrated, overpriced, overweight,
headstocks, overprone of breaking,(seen a few break off, hitting the floor when the strap comes loose!),then,
what do you do, you strip the parts and throw the body in the dustbin! When this happens wih a Fender, (which is veeeery unlikely), you simply replace the neck!
When people start to think, Gibson USA will take a great knock!
IMHO

"piece and light to you"...as Keira would say ?
