Wow, I hope no one minds, but I put some videos of my early funk influences, to give some comparisons. And most of the entries made me see Tom Sellecks' tight pants so well done!! At first I thought the Magnum PI intro would be it, but Chips takes the funk even further...

Neps, when I heard yours I thought, okay, He's winnng the advanced, then I heard Squonks' and I thought the same thing and then I heard blues and guess what, I thought the same thing. So actualy all three of you won.

Tom Selleck is one of those rare men (like Freddy Mercury) who look better with a moustache. Somehow he just looks wierd without it. I think he's grown it back now. The shorts (and Hawaiian shirts)... no comment.

I have heard exactly the same sentiments expressed about the 50's, 60's, and 70's, usually about 25 years after the era. I think "style" or fashion has a 20 to 30 year life cycle in which we get to repeat the same shit over and over again. 8)

LOL...I was teased the most by a friend, who couldn't resist calculating all sorts of things ("when she was being breastfed, you played rugby for the under 12's" and so on). Then all of a sudden the teasing stop. He'd fell head over heels for a girl 11 years younger than him...they've been married for a few years now. ?
