TomCat Just bought some EB Earthwood strings for our acoustic. 11 to 52's Anyone here use these....what are your impressions........
Manfred-Klose I used it on 2 of my other guitars before, its great, just takes a time to set in, plus its good on the fingers ?
AlanRatcliffe I've used 'em and they are quite good, but they are 80/20 bronze, while I prefer a phosphor bronze string. Actually, come to think of it, if I'm going to use an 80/20 bronze, I prefer the Martins. Having said that, it's mostly a matter of taste.
TomCat Put on the strings today.....Fun with this cold, wet weather..... I must say I like them. Full sound and brighter than the previous set.....don't know what they were as they were fitted as part of the setup, but they were phosphor bronze. The tension of these strings seems to be a little higher as well. They have a nice bluesy twang to them that is quite pleasant. The top E is huge and fat sounding.
