oooh yes it seems smoothtalkers are most definitely invading the local acoustic scene.......... heheheh as Bob or should that be "X rated Bob"
I can see that name sticking. ?
The song that provoked all of this was perhaps on the raunchy side (egad! It even mentioned - and please lock your daughters away before reading any further - spanking) but there were no knobby words nor anatomical details.

Yep. Big Mike played his baritone, and then I used mine for my own set. Some people thought that Mike and I were sharing a guitar. Next time we play at the same venue I want them both put on stands and in view.
But in all reality if i was playing "steel string fingerpicking style" i would also definitely want a smoothtalker for their lush steel string sound ... so steel string players try em out ...... ..
They are marvellous guitars for fingerstyle playing. Good tops and a rich bottom end. Great for slack key tunings. Mike's Baritone has a longer scale length than mine, but he's using a similar guage string. He fattens up the first and second, but the 6th is a 56, and he's got that tuned down to B flat. The body of his smoothtalker is the same as on mine (Mervyn's "size 2") and the bottom end he gets is fantastic. And not just meaty low notes, but a lot of sustain if you want it - so you can let them ring as well.
