Guitar advice please!

Hey all,

I've decided to get a new guitar, I'm going with an LTD, but am quite stumped on the actual model to choose. While I play mainly Metal and Rock, I'd like it to be able to do other, cleaner styles relatively well too. I have no desire to get a Floyd Rose equipped guitar again.

It's between these: (H1001-FM, H1001) A bit of choice whether to go active EMG(any comments about the 60 in the neck compared to the 85?) or passive Seymour Duncan(especially the Custom 5 in the bridge which I heard nothing about until I saw it in this guitar) there...

AND

http://www.espguitars.com/guitars_deluxe-mh.html (only the MH-1000NT) I like the SD pickups on this model more than the H1001FM but my issue is that both the finishes look a bit messy in the pictures on the website(which shouldn't matter, but I can't seem to get my mind around it).

Any help/comments will be greatly appreciated! ?

I played a LTD MH-1000F (the floyd rose version of the MH-1000NT) but it has the same finish. It was beautiful, definitely not messy to me. I didn't like the abalone on the neck though (feels a bit tacky). If the NT plays anything like the Floyd Rose version it is an absolute treat.

I'd go for the FM if I were you. It's perhaps because I'm biased though... anyway, that's as neutral an opinion as I can give.
